Coming VERY soon… part 2 of the Six Wives of Henry VIII series. ANNE BOLEYN…
I hope to release between November 1st and 3rd.
This collection is permanent and is full of very beautiful, and wearable shades in a range of finishes. Only one shade is what I consider sparkly (La Plus Heureuse). The rest are matte and lustre finishes, and the highlighters and blushes are smooth, glowy and a dream to work with.
This collection contains four of the shades from last year’s Anne Boleyn Ephemera box. Those shades are Besotted, La Plus Heureuse, Lady Perseverance, and Marquess.
The matte shades are: Constancy (closest in shade to Pure Eyes Matte Limestone- formula is new), Queen in Heaven (closest in shade to Pure Matte Valerian- formula is new), Maligned (closed in shade to Pure Matte Bark- formula is new).
The lustre shades are Coronation, Chateau Vert, and Besotted.
Highlighters include Marquess, and the French Court.
Blush shades are Lady Perseverance, and Vivacious.
Nourishing color creme for lips is Catalyst, a very flattering vivid coral-red. I love this shade- it’s my favorite go-to color now!
All mini and full size jars have custom label art. All colors are vegan & cruelty free.
Check it out! The Catherine of Aragon collection (Part 1 of the Six Wives of Henry VIII series) will be here soon! I am shooting for the 20th of September for release date.
Contains 7 eyeshadows (2 matte (Devote, Dowager Princess), 2 metallic (Banished, Fidei Defensatrix), 2 lustre (Leviticus, Trastamara), 1 sparkly (Queen Regent)), 2 cheek/rouge colors (Ordained, Defiant), and 2 highlighters (Sir Loyal Heart, Humble & LOyal). Also a nourishing color creme for lips (Catalina) in a beautiful pomegramate/berry shade (not yet pictured in final swatches). All full sizes will have custom label art.
Queen Catherine was not the boring, dowdy woman she is oft portrayed as on programs such as The Tudors. For starters, she had pale ivory skin, blue eyes and long strawberry/auburn hair- not dark hair or a typical “Spanish” look. From her Wiki, “In her youth she was described as “the most beautiful creature in the world” and that there was “nothing lacking in her that the most beautiful girl should have.” Thomas More and Lord Herbert would reflect later in her lifetime that in regard to her appearance “there were few women who could compete with the Queen [Catherine] in her prime.”
She and Henry VIII were very much in love when they married, and he jousted wearing her colors under the name “Sir Loyal Heart”. He respected her and involved her in matters of state, as both Queen Regent, and Defender of the Faith. During their 19 year marriage, Catherine was pregnant six times, regrettably only bearing healthy issue once- in Princess Mary.
These colors are inspired by a range of visual and literary sources, as well as my own interpretations. Never one to deliver you predictable, I’ve taken some creative liberty in my own personal perception of Catherine and the palette of colors that portray her the best, in my creative capacity. I’ve watched and rewatched The Tudors and pretty much every movie and documentary on the topic. I’ve also formed a lot of visuals from reading “The Constant Princess” by Philippa Gregory and other books in her series, which I love.

Greetings! I’ve really missed work while I’ve been closed down due to moving… I can’t wait to get back to processing and shipping your orders. I regret that the last few weeks have been peppered with delays and unforeseen circumstances which are preventing me from being able to reopen on the 25th.
Mainly, that I have no internet, and an extremely weak cellular signal- I have to walk down the street and stand in the middle of the road to make phone calls! I am located in a rural area and have no internet options other than our county’s rural broadband option, which was supposed to be installed last Monday. It wasn’t for lack of them trying, but their original installation plan didn’t work. Basically, they bounce the signal from mountaintop to mountaintop, and off other high points like water towers. In my case, they can’t get me a signal without installing some new access points, since I’m nestled down between two mountain ridges. We got moved in on January 15th so to say I’m eager to get connected would be an understatement… I’m making these updates to you using the free wifi at the grocery store.
Please accept my sincere apologies for delaying the shop reopening. I’m usually a stickler for keeping to my scheduled announcements, but these circumstances are beyond my control.
When I reopen on the morning of February 1st (around 9 AM EST), you will be able to purchase the Feast of Lupercal collection. This is last year’s seasonal/Valentine collection- due to my move, I wasn’t able to do anything new for this year. The X-Files inspired boxes ship, and extras from that will be available on 2/15. Boxes are sold out, but towards the end of the month once everyone safely receives theirs, I will release some of the backup boxes for purchase.
I hope to have a few other nice surprises for you, but I’m not ready to announce anything just yet!
I hope 2016 has been treating you well and I can’t wait to get back to work!

Shop closed for ordering January 5-25th!
December’s terrible weather has created delay after delay for me being able to move. Things are starting to move ahead, so I will be closing the shop for ordering on January 5th. I anticipate being closed until the 25th, but will open earlier if I am able to.
Thank you so much for your continued support. It’s been a great year in every way for my little business. Aromaleigh has been my baby for almost 18 years now, and 2015 led me down new creative paths that I previously felt I couldn’t explore- I just didn’t think my quirky interests in mythology, science and art were “palatable” enough, but you’ve all shown me just how open minded you are! 🙂
The last few months have been so hectic that I haven’t been able to do much work on 2016’s projected collections, but I can tell you that I’ve taken into account your requests for more Matte eyeshadows, more eyeshadows like the Fatalis collection, more cheek colors and highlighters, and expanding the foundation shade range.
I hope you had peaceful and joyous holidays… 2016 is going to be a great year! Carpe annum!
