These six beautiful shades will be available for ordering on February 1, and are the result of our Facebook Fan’s suggesting and voting on colors. We usually do one brand new “Special Edition” color, and one “Throwback” color, but this month we did 5 throwbacks. We didn’t do a Valentine’s collection this year, so bringing back your requested shades is our way of spreading the love.
“Betelgeuse”, a gorgeously vivid duochrome from the “Starry Night” collection (November 2011 Release). This shade is a warm brown frost sheen with very strong duochrome that goes from green to chartreuse to gold, with a cool green highlight sparkle. This is a dupe of the original color, as we had to reproduce it using alternate pigments due to discontinuations.
“From the moment I fell down that rabbit hole I’ve been told what I must do and who I must be. I’ve been shrunk, stretched, scratched, and stuffed into a teapot. I’ve been accused of being Alice and of not being Alice but this is my dream. I’ll decide where it goes from here.”
“But this is my Dream”, February Special Edition color from the 2010 Aromaleigh “Wonderstruck” collection. This is a dupe of the original shade, and it is a soft peach with a warm copper/rose glow and soft gold highlight shimmer.
Another sneak peek, “Rule 42” available February 1st. This was from the “Wonderstruck” collection, which was inspired by Alice in Wonderland, of course.
King of Hearts: Rule 42: All persons more than a mile high must leave the court immediately.
Alice: I am not a mile high, and I’m not leaving.
Queen of Hearts: Sorry. Rule 42, you know.
It’s a beautiful greyed heather violet with a soft glow of copper iridescence and a smattering of rose sparkles. This color is a DUPE of the original shade, due to ingredient/recipe problems.
“Mass-Produced Sentiment” which is kind of how we feel about Valentine’s Day in general- you know, when you walk into a store and you’re bombarded with chocolates, hearts, stuffed animals, and a whole lot of hopeful expectations? Sometimes you just roll your eyes and sigh at all of the Mass-produced sentiment!
The name of this color was suggested by Lisa Neff. This is a shade you need to see in person- the photographs of the skin swatches aren’t as helpful in seeing the complexity of the shade as we had hoped! This color is an extremely deep brown- like dark chocolate dipped espresso beans! It has a soft rose duochromey glow (which shows up golden in the photos- but it’s not in person!) and it has vibrant violet sparks.
Trust us, it’s a winner!
“Cyanide Sorrow” from the 2010 Victoria’s Revenge collection. Available February 1st! This is a dupe of the original shade. It’s very similar, just a slight bit more saturated and deep. It’s an exquisite shade, a rich rosy buff/mahogany with a reddish/pink soft highlight glow, and bright silver sparkles.
“An rich dusty rose pink, with buff undertones…. tarnished forever with the ashen guilt of wanting to write poison pen letters. Spilled ink, hello forever…”
“Concrete Jungle”, from the 2009 Aromaleigh “Hot in the City” collection. A top seller, you voted this in as a February Special Edition! It is a tauped soft brown with aqua sparks and a soft warm green duochrome effect. This color appears drastically different depending on where you view it. This is a dupe of the original shade, so it is not exact.
